Affectionately known as & 'Pete or Zac";, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Larry
Darnell Zachery was called home January 1, 2021. The beloved son of Lessie Jones and Emmanuel
Zachery born on April 6, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia. Larry was always full of love and laughter. It was his
presence of love, sense of humor, and joy that always lit up the room.

Larry accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at New Jerusalem Baptist Church and passed away as a current
member at Berean Christian Church Gwinnett.
Larry’s passion growing up revolved around sports where he participated in baseball, wrestling, and
football. &"Z-Beast #44" excelled on the football field as a dominant linebacker where he was recognized
with multiple & "Player of the Week" & Honors. Anyone who knew him, knew that his greatest loves were
family, friends, and the Atlanta Falcons.

He attended Kelly Lake Elementary and a proud graduate of Lithonia High School (Lithonia, Georgia;
1988). Following high school Larry made the decision to serve his country, where he proudly served in
the United States Army as an MOS 31V, part of E Co. 5 th Avn Regt stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana.
After 8 years of service, Larry was honorably discharged.

Larry went on to gain his Associates Degree at DeVry University where he matured his skill set in
Technical Engineering and landed a career in IT management.
In April of 1999, Zac met the love of his life Amy. On April 27, 2002, Larry was united in holy
matrimony to his most loving wife and best friend. He loved her so much that she could even get a Go
Bills every now and then. From this union, the G-Force as he so proudly called them was born, one son,
Gannon, and three daughters Gabrielle, Giane, and Grace. Anyone that knew him, knew they were his
world, his life, his reason for being. With a heart the size of the sun, they also raised the Zachery fur
babies (Ziggy, Zoe, Zuri, Zelda, and Zaya).
In 2016, Larry was faced with the hardest battle in his life when he was diagnosed with Kidney failure.
Fighting for his loved ones, he triumphed through numerous tests, countless aches and pains, unnumbered
needlesticks, and other obstacles. His strength went unmatched throughout this period in his life, and if
you did not know his story, you would have never known his struggles as he only carried an infectious
joyous spirit and a warming smile.
